I've just lodged my application online as well last Friday (Aug-12).
Maybe we could share status to help ease the anxiety (on waiting) a bit?
Here's mine so far:
AUG-11: Tried to Lodge Visa Application. Error after just filling in the first page (Please contact DIMIA office in the...)
- Turns out that I entered the SPONSORSHIP approval number instead of the NOMINATION approval number which was given to me by my employer a day after.
AUG 12: Got the nomination approval number. Lodged application.
AUG 13: Compiled all scanned documents to one PDF file. Had problem uploading due to size limitations (which by the way wasnt specified in the site).
Uncompiled documents and uploaded one-at-a-time. This was going great but after I uploaded 15 documents (some were redundant due to the site breaking down on me during uploads, a refresh apparently re-uploads the file and adds to the maximum limit (again, not specified in the site).
AUG 15: Was advised by immigration to wait within 7 days for my Case Officer who would request the additional documents (I wish I could;ve prevented this extra turnaround).
I hope this helps others and for those who are applying at the same time... care to share statuses?
I know I still have a loooong time to wait but hearing from others going through the process might help ease the suspense a bit :D
