AOS Bond retrieval question Sender: abhibhanu

Dear Experts and Friends Kind greetings. I would gratefully appreciate your advice on this. We were granted PR (139 BQ) in Dec 2003 and we all validated in 2004 Jan. As such our PR visas expire by Nov 2008. We have been living out of AUS all these time with and we visit AUS twice a year. In order to get qualified for RRV and or citizenship (as advised by JAJ many times in this forum) we have decided to make the final big move in sep 2006 and live continuosly. My questions are given below. Please be kind enough to let me know these points. Our butturers (who are our sponsors too) lodged our AOS money in 2003 Oct (Actually we sent the required money and they lodged on our behalf). This was done directly with the DIMIA and the commonwealth bank before the change to centrelink. The bond was lodged for 30 months from Nov 2003 to may 2006. Now as per the bond information it matures in May 2006. What will happen after that day to the bond? Will the commonwealth bank inform our butturers and transfer it to them or again it will be handled by DIMIA or centrelink? Normally how the AOS bond is released after the expiry date? what are the procedures and how it is done? Or do we have to "physically live" for 30 months and then only the bond will be released? For your information sofar we have not got any money or support from centrelink. So I think we should get the full AOS bond back once the term is completed. Is that correct? We have seen many posts dealing with lodging bond but I could not find anything in relation to getting the bond money back. can you please clear this point? Thanks with best wishes bhanu -- |
