Employment RequirementsHi all! I've been a pbuttive reader of this board for a few weeks gathering information but I have some...
I'm afraid not, well certainly not from my perspective, i can't speak for my brother but would doubt that he could either. We are a family with 3 (soon to be 4) children, we have an average income and average expenditure which adds up the the same at the end of the month. The contributory parent visa i recall requires a substantial amount of money to be lodged, not something that someone in our position can do I;m afraid no matter how much we may want to.
I have been given several differing stories on the aged parent visa by different agents, one told me with all their family in aus they could be granted their visas in as little as 3 years, one told me they will be enbreastled to reciprocal medicare as soon as they arrive and i was also told that by applying on shore their application was buttessed and either pbutted or not pretty much immediately including the medical and that no further medical was required.
We don't have an option but to use this route if they decide to come, if they do then i have to try and find an agent who knows about it as all i can get for now is conflicting info and if they don't i would imagine that i'll have to find the money for the fare back to the uk sometime in the next 12 months to bury them as i can't see them lasting very long. They already seem to have given up the will to live and of course make me feel like it is my fault despite not having lived near them for 8 years.
