We have been reading this thread from the sidelines with great enthusiasm for the last few months, as yes, we like all of you were pre- July 2004 - 136.
Our abbreviated story is as follows:
We received our outcome letter from - wait for this YouCanLaugh - KB!! at the end of June 2005 (they received our application in May 2004). We were invited to apply for a SIR Visa, as we only scored 110 points. The trouble is that as we are both in our forties, we lost points when they raised the pbutt mark in 2004. So, we expected to receive a SIR invite letter, if they were happy etc.
With that in mind, we have now started up a thread for those of us under SIR invite visa applications will not believe it, but it looks as if we may have to wait another seven months for a final outcome!!!
We want to thank you all for putting our minds at rest that we were not alone, during what has been an unbelievable time for us all. Those of you with young families, are obviously excellent parents, because you have always put your children's security and contentment first. You all deserve to have a 'new life down under'.
We will still read this thread, just to make sure that you do go all you 'old timers', and we can't wait to hear what Catz76 has to say when she returns.
