I received the bond request (you have to wait for the original by post) on Monday 27th June. Arranged payment and faxed forms on the same day then posted originals the day after. Contacted them 4th July and they confirmed they had received the funds. Contacted them again on 5th and they confirmed that the original forms had also arrived. Received their confirmation (bond certificate) by post yesterday (12th).
I'm hoping that DIMIA have also received their copy, but I'm buttuming that as usual, they are inundated and will take a week for it to filter through their systems to the CO, so I will start chasing in earnest next Tuesday. I also checked with somebody else and they had the visa grant one week after they received their bond certificate, hence my time estimate-hope.
I hope I get it before the end of next week just so that we can confirm to my Daughters school that she won't be turning up in September.
Had 3 removal companies quoting today (had 2 last week) so now have a good idea of the costs, and will make a decision within a week as to which one we go with (visa allowing obviously).
Like you, I'm just waiting now... again... ZZZZZzzzzz Time to feel like a little schoolboy again and rush to check my email each morning (ok, so the internet hadn't been invented when I was at school, but I'm sure you know what I mean :) )
