Just to avoid confusion - can i clarify that being in Australia doesn't mean a general send migration visa application is processed more quickly. (before others who are in Australia worry and wonder why they haven't heard anything yet!)
The reason mine was processed so quickly was not because I am in Australia (that's incidental) but because of unusual circumstances resulting in a request to DIMIA to priority process by a NSW govt agency (with my permission but not at my request!).
I recall there was also an unusual issue in terms of medicals validity for the other person on this thread (who is in Australia) who has got their visa.

If you have not yet sat or arranged to sit an IELTS test please do so as soon as possible. To ensure your application is processed quickly, please ensure your results are sent in as soon as you receive them - do not wait until you are allocated a case officer. All you need to do is ensure you quote your file number when you send your test results in.
I recall a South African on this site has recently been asked to sit IELTS.
