Where do we start? YES You could say that there was a problem in Adelaide. Basically in July 2004 they changed the processing system. Those applicants pre July were still to be processed on the old system (Average 50 weeks processing time) and anyone after this date would be processed on a new much faster system. The new system saw people being issued visas really quickly and in June 2005 they met the quota for send visas and it went very quiet. After July 1st 2005 the new quota kicked into action and Adelaide were able to issue the visas again - by this time there was a bit of a backlog! Now there are a number of old system applications still being processed (we have now waited nearly one year and two months - others longer!) along with newer ones and everyone is really frustrated. The old system ones are suposedly being given priority but we are very sceptical. God knows what they are up to now - I doubt they even know their arse from their elbow at the moment. Be prepared for the worst as they are so unaccountable and you just have to buttume that it will be a while yet. There is absolutely no logic to the way they operate. Caz
