My husband and I (and our two kids aged 1 + 4) are planning to apply for a STNI visa in SA. We will submit the application to SA one of these days and consequently prepare the application to DIMIA. We hope to be able to lodge it during January 2006.
Are any of you holding a STNI in SA? Or are there anybody else in the process of applying for one?
How is it to live in SA? My husband and I have never been in this State and we don't know anybody there. All our friends live in NSW, Victoria and Queensland.
If any of you are (mechanical) engineers (Production or Plant), would you please let me-us know more about employment prospects in particularly Adelaide. Production engineers are on the SA Skills in Demand List, we know, but it would be nice to hear from somebody, who is actually living there.
Does anybody know if STNI visas in SA received priority with DIMIA compared to STNI visas in the other states? I'm asking this question as SA will process the application within 14 days of receipt, whereas e.g., Victoria will process it within 2-3 months and I therefore thought DIMIA would be quickly processing the application. Is this correct?
