Sweetheart
It breaks my heart to say so, but for other reasons, I have had to consider the medical criteria very carefully. Sadly, I think Westly is right.
The trouble with it is that the family's own plans and enbreastlements to State Help (or otherwise) are ignored. Therefore the issue is whether your child would be able to fend for him-herself in Australia, without any sort of buttistance or support from the Australian Government. It is not an unreasonable atbreastude, because the parents could get squashed by a bus. If that happened, where would it leave your disabled child?
Honey, if you had consulted an Agent in advance, I doubt that your application would have been made. I can tell you from personal and painful experience that the Medical Officer of the Commonwealth (MOC) will definitely insist on specialist medical reports from Uncle Tom Cobley & All.
Armed with those, the MOC will then do an actuarial calculation, based on the likely whole-of-life costs for your child. Whether or not your own child would eligible for buttisted housing, buttisted employment, Disablilty Support Pension and so on is irrelevant. Sounds weird, I know, but basically your own child gets converted into the "hypothetical Australian citzen-PR child" for the purpose of working out the likely medical-State Benefits bill. The latter is capable of costing a FORTUNE, wherein lies the rub.
Westly is a Migration Agent. The Rules of his professional body prohibit him from saying more than he has. I understand and respect that. I am not a Migration Agent, so I can say what I like.
JAJ is the main Moderator on this site. He is very clued-up about problems like this. Hopefully he will read this thread and offer you further advice, and in your shoes, my advice would be "Follow it" because JAJ knows exactly what he is doing with medical problems.
Honey, from my own research, your situation does not look good. I would be lying if I said anything else. I think you should be guided by JAJ about this.
Lots of love and sympathy
Gill
