Hi all SIR Peeps
Mental IllnessMez and Joe Hello Mez & Joe The MOC's main concern about depression-attempted dissolution in the past is whether or not the person will be 100% fit enough to work and be totally...
It must be great to be one of the chosen few. What some people need to realise is that this visa is the only route into Oz for people who are perhaps older, and therefore do not get the higher points a younger person qualifies for. They are not any better or worse ofr it and should take this on board when replying to posts....ok rant over.
We are here on SIR in sunny Qld, and apart from the Medicare thing, we have not found any difference. We have both found good jobs, are in a lovely Queenslander in an acre of land with a sparkling blue swimming pool. Our son has settled well into the local school.
Next week we have been here a year, and it has flown in. The lifestyle thing is great. Son and hubby plaY cricket on the weekend, we regularly go out for meals and sit outdoors. It is just simply a more relaxed and outdoorsy life all round. Sure we work hard during the week, but weekends are ours and we can plan to do things and not generally have the weather dictating whether we can do them. We recently went whale watching at Hervey Bay, what an experience, blown away!!
We are now planning to settle in this area and are loking at houses and acreages to see what will suit our life style.
I hope this helps anyone in the process of taking up this Visa.
BB
