Can I be in the process of applying for a 136 and then "Standard Business Sponsorship (Subclbutt 457)" i.e. while on a temp work permit?
We have just started the process and are hoping for a 136 to go to WA as motor mechanic. We are using a local agent who is MARA registered. I am waiting for the TRA results. I would like to be in Perth in January 07 because of the new school year for my kids, 9 and 10 yr old. It seems that the whole process of a perm visa takes about a year. Is that true?
Can I get a job offer and go in and still carry on with the permanent 136 visa? I know I can get a job with a work permit and it takes about 10 weeks (so they say). Can they be running in parallel? And if I do get a job offer am I obliged to do it for two years, or until the 136 gets processed? Do I have to honour the two years, even if I am not happy in the job? It happened to my brother in law in NZ.
In a nutshell, I want my kids to start school in the New Year, and not ,,say middle of next year.
