Hi everybody, how have you all been? I am coming back to this forum after a long time..Just to re-introduce myself, I am a doctor by profession and have been offered a job. I would be sponsored on a 457 Visa.
The HR person responsible nominated my name at a DIMA Business Center on 01-09-2006 and got an acknowledgement from DIMA on 06-09-2006 stating the following particulars. The important ones:
1. Request ID ********** 2. My name and DOB 3. The details of the Case Officer.
The HR person told me that now I can lodge my visa application online as my Request ID is through.
I tried lodging the visa but unfortunately couldn't progress, neither it accepted the no. as a nomination TRN nor as the approval no?
My HR person has gone on leave so could anybody guide me as what this Request ID could be..
4. Is it a Nomination TRN. ( But the DIMA website says that Nomination TRN no. would be generated by the system, but my HR got this no. in a mail from DIMA.)
5. Is it a nomination approval no.?( Does the nomination approval no. comes so fast)
6. or is it something else, something related to acknowledgement of the nomination application and nothing else...
Please guide me as the worrying is taking a toll on me..

I saw this lines on the website of Australian High Commission of Delhi.It says, " Visa applicants must include the nomination approval no. or the Transaction Reference No. (TRN). These numbers are provided to the sponsors when the nomination is approved."
Does that mean that the Request ID was something else, that my sponsor got as she was waiting for the nomination to be approved.
Would appreciate if somebody could advice about this whole confusion of nos.
