Sorry I should have given you more detail to work with.
I'm 39 working in the Insurance Industry but not as a broker, more claims related. I also work part time in our Sign Writing business doing the accounts, but don't hold any accounts qualifications (self taught when we bought the company).
My husband was a hairdresser for 22 years owning his own salon for 20 of them, he was also British Champion Hairdresser in 1989. He gave up hairdressing in 2003 when we bought the Sign Writing company and this is now his main profession, it is only a small business with a turnover around the å£130k mark.
On a recent visit to see our friends in Perth he was offered a job back in hairdressing by a friend of our friends who owns his own salon.
We completely fell in love with Australia and decided to try and move there, as my husbands first love is hairdrssing and hasnt got the same buzz from signmaking he would like to take the job offer as well.
Our friends say they would sponser us, but neither we, nor they, know what that entails i.e. how much of a comittment it would actually be for them.
They have offered us their house to stay in, either long term or short term whichever is required.
So accommodation is sorted, my husbands job is sorted, mine isnt and I dont fit into any of the send workers catergorys on the list from what I can see.
So we were thinking of approaching it my my husbands hairdressing experience, but, that brings me back to the "age" problem.
I'm younger but have no "skills", he is send but may be too old.
I'm dearly hoping we arent stuck now?
