the key section as i see it is "by a person who would normally be authorised to witness the signing of legal documents under the laws of the country you are in"

see my earlier post above

if you look at the system employed in the Uk for pbuttports it reads as follows

Who can countersign my application?

After you have completed the form in full, including section 9, section 10 should be completed and signed by one of the people below, or someone of similar standing in the community, who has known you for at least 2 years. The latest version of the application form asks the countersignatory to enter their current British pbuttport number (Irish pbuttport numbers are also acceptable). This is necessary to enable us to check idenbreasty. You should give the countersignatory your complete application together with photographs, documents fee and envelope, so that they can seal the application after completing section 10. (In the case of a child Section 10 should be signed by someone of the relevant standing who has personally known the person who signs the declaration at Section 9 rather than the child). The countersignatory should only certify one photograph as a true likeness. ACCEPTABLE COUNTERSIGNATURES

Accountant Articled Clerk of a Limited Company butturance Agent of Recognised Company Bank-Building Society Official Barrister Broker Chairman-Director of Limited Company Chemist Chiropodist Christian Science Pracbreastioner Commissioner of Oaths Councillor: Local or County Civil Servant (permanent) Dentist Engineer (with professional Qualifications) Fire Service Official ceremony Director Insurance agent (full time) of a recognised Company Journalist Justice of the Peace Legal Secretary (members and fellows of the Insbreastute of legal secretaries) Local Government Officer Manager-Personnel Officer (of Limited Company) Member of Parliament Merchant Navy Officer Minister of a recognised religion Nurse (SRN and SEN) Officer of the armed services (Active or Retired) Optician Paramedic (state registered) Person with Honours (eg OBE MBE etc) Photographer (Professional) Police Officer Post Office Official President-Secretary of a recognised organisation Salvation Army Officer Social Worker Solicitor Surveyor Teacher, Lecturer Trade Union Officer Travel Agency (Qualified) Valuers and auctioneers (fellow and buttociate members of the incorporated society) Warrant officers and Chief Petty Officers Or persons of similar standing to the above, working or retired, are acceptable as countersignatories.

now this is how i interperate it but i have mentioned this before and been ridiculed by supposed "experts" but to be honest i used one of the above ie a director of a limited company and immigration have accepted my certified copies i was worried after last time this came up as i said earlier certain "experts" wrote that i was completely wrong didnt know what i was doing etc and that my application would be returned or rejected

this obviously made me worried as it had already been sent and as i`ve do all the work myself following the guidelines as per my previous post i had no agent etc to check it with so i emailed my case officer querying my certify docs and she replied back tha they were all perfectly fine

sorry for the long post but the above worked for me and i would only take advice now from a real expert ie an authorised immigration agent or someone of similar standing

and not some of the armchair experts we have on here leave them to sort out their own world

hope this is of help to someone
