thing is Alan, how do you know what is out of kilter', as there are so many discrepancies in timelines. yes, mine is out of kilter compared with some other applications, happymum is out of kilter compared to some recent visa 'got it's.
also, i am sure that people dont e-mail their case officer willy nilly, but do think long and hard about it. i know of somebody that e-mailed her CO twice, with more than legitimate questions-queries, and they never even bothered to reply. this person needed to know an answer and it wasn't answered. they are in a service industry, and questions-queries need to answered, not ignored.
i do agree with your comment about freeing up the co's to do the job they are paid for, but there should be some correspondence available for those that need it; some level playing fields, instead of differing timescales; and some sort of service available to let people know at what application date DIMIA are currently working on. (i understand that this is to come into action sometime this year, hopefully).
all in all, more info needed by us sat at home worrying ourselves sick, not sleeping, not eating, and everybody living on eggshells in the household. limbo land is definitely not a place i would like to revisit!!!
thanks anyway for your input xx
