Advice please = Aged Contributary Parent Visa
coffeebean Hi guys I'm sorry to butt into this thread late, but I have direct, recent and relevant experience of confusing myself in exactly the...

I didn't realise that your parents are in India. I thought they had simply been born there but that they are now living somewhere else. Would the doctors at the medical centre have a full set of records for each of them? If not, I guess you might have to get specialist medical reports.

Can anyone advise on the dependancy rules for the Temporary 4 year employer sponsored visa?My daughter is...

With regard to proving where you live as well as where your Australian-PR brother lives, I would be interested to hear whatever you discover. DIMA will know that your bro is in Australia from their own movement records. They can also tell that I am not in Australia, if I give them my pbuttport number. The website says that if they don't know where all the children reside, they will treat any that are not in Australia as being in the parent's country of origin. For Mum, that is the UK, so it doesn't make any difference to her if we simply leave DIMA to buttume that I am in the UK as well.

But I can really only prove where I am indirectly. Just because I have an address in the UK and the utility bills have my name on them doesn't prove that I am not resident in France. I might be being paid by a UK employer, in sterling, but working from home for them and home might be in France. So I really don't know what they are getting at, or how they expect me to 'prove' something which I don't have to prove under Local Law. I can go anywhere in the EU without needing any stamps in my pbuttport and so on.

I am as puzzled as you are by this bit and I agree that the solution is to ask DIMA what sort of documents they want. If you discover anything, would you be kind enough to let me know, please?

Many thanks

Gill
