My husband is from North Africa which is probably known as a 'high risk' country.
At no point in our application from the TRA to our lodged visa application, have DIMA made my husband feel 'second rate' due to where he comes from.
Our STNI decision was given to us within a week, we have submitted everything they asked for plus one or two bits extra including a police check from my husbands country, for which he didnt have to provide due to how long he has lived here.
There are countries that DIMA consider high risk and that is fair enough. They are protecting their country, the people that live there and they will do what they have to do to check people out.
If people dont meet the requirements then they cannot get in.
You cannot blame DIMA for their strict security and after living in London for the past 8 years and feeling the knock on effect of the London plantings, I wish they would do it here as well.
I am not slating you, I am not racist as I said, my husband is from a high risk country, but with the current state of affairs, each country must have its own suitable vetting system and security measures for allowing potential migrants into the country.
I am sure DIMA don't see you as a second rate human being and you dont do yourself any favours for thinking they do.
If you dont meet ALL the requirements in every category, then you wont get in.
