I'm trying to buttemble a send independent visa application for me and my girl friend. We are not married, nor are we engaged, but we have lived in a de facto relationship during the past six years this fall.
Our main concern is the fact that we have been written-registered (with the tax authorities) on different addresses, while still in reality we've lived togehter for several years without interruption.
We rent our apartment and both of us are on the current contract, but this only dates 10 months back. Before that we lived in my girl friends's apt, while only she was on the contract. Technically I'm registered (with the tax authorities) on another address, the one of the rental contract for the apartment where I lived before I met my girl friend (This has been subleted to other people during our relationship).
While this may sound weird, the reasons for having had it this was is that a rental contract for a central apartment is worth tons in the city we live due to ultra high demand, and we simply haven't dared to terminate it.
We might of course change this now, we could terminate the contract, just to be able to present a better visa application. But we still have to prove the history of our relationship, so in practice I guess it would do no good.
Anyone has any experience from this or any other comments?
(We of course could get testimonials from friends and relatives, photos etc etc, but would this problem make the effort useless?).
