This is our first post at BE.....we can't believe that we never found this site whilst going through...

I suppose it would Steve however, I am going to be able to do two professions competently. I have references for my skills as a Graphic Designer as well as a Hairdresser. The only reason I am not going for an buttessment in Hairdressing is because I wouldn't get one because of the time factor and references.

If they ask me to go and seek one then I am going to have to try however I did ring the DIMA and ask their advice before I set out on this journey along time ago. They said they were not concerned with what my recent work experience was as long as I could prove it was 20 hours a week, (I can from my accountant and books) and it was on the SOL.

It says and I quote from booklet 6: This booklet is designed so that you can understand the steps for applying for General Send Migration to Australia, and to complete the application form with minimal, if any, help.

It also says you do not need to use a migration agent.

With all this in mind I know all the information I need is on the IMMI website and in booklet 6. If I provide everything I need to provide (in the current time frame) then I should not fail as long as health and character are ok.

I am working on this. Everyones case is different and they have the right to refuse who they like but I am sticking to the rules and by this concept I am hopeful that I will succeed.

cheers Lace x
