Hey you guys, Iå«ve cross-posted my thread from the Lonely Planet Thorn Tree since I didnå«t get my questions answered there... Hopefully any of youz can help me!

Canada set to increase immigration levels more compebreastion for Australia Sender: tableland
I have written a lot about this on the Canadian Immigration forum. Canada was my preference...

itå«s getting pretty serious now! With the current slow job market in NL Iå«m about to go as far away from the Netherlands as possible; New Zealand! Iå«m a vet and can get a visa without any big problems (in the send migrant category). My boyfriend is a goldsmith with his own collection and freelance contracts with jewellers in Amsterdam, but also working in construction (also a very tight job market, the gold business). I have a few questions I hope to get answered by LP-people quicker than by the NZ government.

How hard is the family stream? Will it be easier for us to get married? I donå«t think my bloke will get a visa just because heå«s a goldsmith, and I donå«t want to take any chances with him applying seperately and then being rejected (u know).

Will he have to pbutt the IELTS as well if he comes over as my partner? (heå«s seriously dyslectic so this could prove to be a problem)

Will he be able to find a job as a goldsmith?

If he gets a visa in the family stream, will he get a working permit only for what heå«s qualified for or can he start off making money in construction or whatever?

We want to import our motorcycles, but only if itå«s worth the cost. Will we get our taxes back when we export them from NL? What do we have to pay for them to be imported into NZ? How expensive are bikes in Kiwicountry anyways?

How can we transfer our pensions (say old age funds) from the Netherlands to NZ? Weå«ve saved up quite a lot, it would be a waste to just have to cash it and then put it on a NZ account.

parents when can they apply to get their visa Sender: welshtony
Hi SB As soon as your 136 sister becomes usually resident in Australia, your parents will meet the balance of family and...

Can anyone give me a quick insight in the health system? (ok I admit it, we want to have kiddoå«s in the next 4 years, but will our employers pay for it and stuff?)

If all else fails, can a new immigrant get a loan to buy a car and a house? how much money are you expected to bring with you?

Erm I think i got loads more questions but I hope somebody can get me started... Thanks a million! ANne
