12 month requirement questionHi folks, I was just reading up on my spouse visa application and came across a thing about the 12 month requirement which has got me worried. i found this : "The visa applicant and sponsor...
Certified copies of our Birth Certificate (daughter showing him named even though we were not married - she was born more than a year before our application) Certified copy of our Marriage certificate 16 photos of us at various events together (these were all returned) 4 * Form 888- Statutory Declarations (Asked four different Australian Friends and Family expecting to only get two back, got them all back so sending them all off, can't hurt can it?) 2 relationship statements, witnessed by our Solicitor from both of us (these were essentially carbon copies of each others with a few changes no need for a 10 page essay) 11 different statements, bills and documents proving that we reside together at the same address and that we have a continuing relationship - most of our bills bank statements are in individual names and none were in my married name. Document detailing the how the household chores are are distributed and carried out (not sure why we needed this but we were buttured that we did). Copies of Travel documents for the last couple of years (holidays together etc)
To be honest I think we went overkill as we got our spouse visa confirmation in 24 hours. We thought however, that it was better to give too much information than not enough.
Good luck with whatever visa you are applying for Abby
