All, My cousin lodged his application to TRA (Chef).
His application has NOT been accepted for the following reason (actual hand written comments from buttessor): =============================================================== Diploma - not a trade oriented course, only the relevant component of the course can be given consideration.
To be selected as CHEF it is a requirement that the applicant first establish a case as a COOK - this requires 6 yr of relevant training-work experience performing the duties of a cook with an additional 3 yr performing the duties of a chef to be selected as CHEF. I have viewed the video and pictures, however without supporting evidence from your employer of your cooking tasks on a day by day ***** it is not possible for a valid buttessment. ===============================================================

He is 31 years old, working in US as a Chef, since 1997. He did his Hotel Management and Catering (2 Years) diploma course at Chennai. He made his buttessment application through an immigration agent at Chennai.
Any tips or suggestions will be very much appreciated. This will help him very much to submit a new TRA buttessment application.
