immigration to Oz or NzHi, I have been visitin this group for some time. It is quite helpful to read the questions and many kind answers. Now I have some questions of my own...
My partner applied for a prospective marriage visa almost 2 years ago, during this time he was told by a doctor at the local hospital that he needs a heart by-pbutt so we had to cancel all plans ( immigration had computer problems and he was one of 150 people who was wiped off their system anyway) He has since been told that his operation is clbutted as low priority so he went to a specialist for a 2nd opinion. He has now been told that he wont need surgery for approx 14 - 24 months and it may only be a valvue replacement. We have decided to bite the bullet and apply for the prospective marriage visa as we have been told that in some partner cases, immigration will allow up to $200,000 for medical problems. Has anyone got any idea if we have a hope in hell of getting this visa, or knows of anyone else that has been in a similar situation? I have been leaving my family, home and jobs for the past two years to spend 6 months in Oz and 6 Months in England and its all getting a bit too much. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
