Hi Jeremy, Thanks for your reply. I wish I could speak to an agent who knew about RRV's, as the two I contacted have given poor advice! I'm not in a position to move back to Oz permanently until next summer but I could move over this year for three months and try and extend the visa. Would three months be long enough to try and prove a tie? I would be living and working there! It would be an expensive trip if I was only offered another three month RRV!
My other option would be to reapply but that has difficulties unless I go STINI SA or VIC. It seems such a shame to lose this visa within a year of being able to return permanently to Oz!
Can you recommend any agents who specialise in RRV's?
Would it be possible to keep extending the three month RRV from the UK? I have compelling and compbuttionate reasons for leaving Oz and not being able to return within the 5 five year period. Dimia seemed to accept these grounds but wanted proof of a 'current substantial tie'.
