Hi. If your hubby has high BP then he should really go an get it checked out irrespective of the residency issue. Its often called the silent person because people carry on with there life and then in later years the damage has been done. I have slightly raised BP which is controlled through medication. When I went for my meds it was 136-94 and as the limits are 140-90 I went to get an extra report from a cardiologist. In the examination he done an ECG, took several BP readings and listened to the heart chambers (think thats right) for abnormalities. My BP was around 134-86. The Cardiologist seemed happy enough with me.

I havent been granted a visa yet so i dont know if the BP is an issue. However I think that as long the condition is being managed effectively via medication then it might not be an issue or at least they like to make an informed opinion before granting visas etc because BP can be caused for a number of reasons DIMIA will want to know that they can discount a number of possible causes. eg, that that BP isnt being caused by a kidney problem.

Dont wanna sound negative, and i'm no quack, but you'd be better off getting it checked out sooner rather than later.

Cheers
