I see from a recent article in the news here that "family reunion " visas more readily granted than send migrant visas in some cases.

If you and he had visited each others country and were actually married, it would be much simpler, apparently. Or even if you were related, as brother and sister, or parent and child, it would be easier under family reunion provisions.

As to intending marriage, though, I simply do not know.

I do know that, according to the news, a lot of women from the Philippines, Vietnam, India, and other countries get married to Australians who come to their country and marry them.

However, after they get residency in Australia on this basis, the marriage often breaks up.

Now whether the situation differs in the case of a prospective UK migrant, and personally I think that it would, I would seek professional advice.

Not necessarily from an "immigration agent" as these seem to be of highly variable quality.

Were I in your position, or your boyfriends position, I think that I would advise a carefully crafted letter, seeking advice from a minister of religion, a solicitor, or someone along these lines.

Would spend some time on it, be completely honest, and so on.

Then would send it to nearest consulate by registered mail, or security post, whatever you call it there, return receipt requested.

Then it stands out from the usual mail, and is likely to get more attention. In addition, the return receipt buttures you that it has been definitely received at a given time and date.

Other people may have better ideas, of course, this is just my "off the top of the head" input.
