Laura, I actually called them a few times. First they said it would take 6 weeks, then 8 weeks, then up to 12 weeks. I was told my application had been sent to a panel of industrial experts for review and their recommendations had not come back yet. Maybe the panel for your case was more responsive. I am not in Australia now and have never been there. I have already had my skill buttessment done from VETbuttESS.

Try not to worry about it too much, at least they have got it.
What line of work are you in?
Think ours came through so quick as we already have jobs here, so not a very high risk, and JC is working as an environmental scientist specializing in Geology, which I dont think there are many around, so not as much compebreastion for us.
I have heard that with the more popular occupations, there is more compebreastion and so they have to look at each one and buttess them individually to make a choice. Not sure if this is true but sounds like it could be.
