May be someone can buttist with advice.
A good friend of ours intends to open a retail store in Germany and is looking for possible goods and suppliers in Australia, New Zealand and Indonesia. She wants to visit us, her friends, and use us as a base. We are both Australian citizens. She is a 25 years old woman. She is married but about to get divorced.
When she applied for a visitor's visa for Australia she asked for a visa allowing her to leave and return to Australia (obviously). She obtained a 12 months multiple return visitor's visa with the endorsement that she may stay in Australia only for 3 months at a time, then has to leave but afterwards she may return for another 3 months and so on.
Basically that is perfect for her purpose as she wants to use Australia as a base and make excursions to New Zealand and Indonesia at least. However, there is now some doubt as to her having to return to Germany before she re-enters Australia which would be useless. Can someone please advise if the fear is real or doesn't it matter where she goes to before she re-enters Australia as thought?
I should say that the woman is NOT a German Citizen, she is only a permanent resident in Germany. She holds a pbuttport of Georgia.
