Well not been on here for a few weeks and the break has done me good!! As we have been away in Antigua having a total ball!! Highly recommend a trip there as it certainly helps to chill you out when going through this process!!!
Very close to changing the move to Oz to Move to Antigua!! Well it is now my second option if we dont get in!!
Anyway we have had our medicals this afternoon, having had to cancel them before the holiday due to major sickness bugs hitting the Toon Williams family!! Got ourselves all worked up about it and it was nothing like I have been reading on here at all!!
Straight forward blood tests for me and OH, little feel of the tummy for me (thinking was checking for a baby, but did explain there was NO way I was), listened to the chest, checked ears and eyes and had chest x ray. Did get a lecture on smoking mind, but said it wouldnt affect application!! He did say that he is requesting further info on a medical condition I had a couple of years ago, but he said it was just to cover all sides, if he didnt get it they would ask for it in Sydney, so that was all, i not worried as I know I all ok!!
Kids aged 6 and 2 had just eye and ear and chest checks and that was it, my 2 year old was not playing ball at all, and the Dr was like well he looks fine to me!! Husband thought we would get a discount for that but no å£52 for those few words!!
And that was the Toon Williams family å£518 lighter!!
Anyway long and short of it is, if you have them coming up no need to worry, and I would highly recommend Brookdale Centre at Gatwick, they were very good indeed!!
I asked about Courier delivery to Oz they said they get loads and loads of problems at customs with them being opened and then Oz wont accept them as they have been tampered with so they do the send first clbutt sign when it gets there and track it thing!! Sounds ok to me as didnt cost us an extra penny!!
So now just the long wait for the GP to send back the right info, then sending off of all medicals and the waiting once got to Sydney!! Fingers crossed then!!
