Hi everyone,
I was on a 4 year 457 visa that hasn't expired yet but my LAFHA with the company was for a period of 2 years and it has since expired late last month. I am just wondering if anyone out there knows whether is any way one can extend the LAFHA with the employer. I have communicated to my employer but they seemed to be reluctant to get back to me on the issue.
that might be accrued as cost to them. However since my agreement contract with the employer has not changed, I am wondering if there are any tax experts out there or anyone familiar with LAFHA who might advise what I can do to extend or reapply for LAFHA. From what I know the eligibility criteria seem pretty straight forward - ie. you will be repatriated at the end of your employment tenure and you have not applied for Permanent residentship and of course yr residence place is different from your workbase.
STNI SA your timelines Sender: JanniDKHi! Actually, it has been a while since I last visited this web site. I have been trying not to concentrate too much on getting the visa (but without luck..). But...
P.S. LAFHA certainly helps in the payment of my current situation - accomodation and food expenses. Having to go without it certainly does not make any sense for me to continue working with the current employer with the meagre salary that is being offered.
Hope someone can advise if you know something or have similar experiences.
