Hi there - I really don't know quite what to do with the girls as,although they are both working full time, neither one of them couldcope financially on their own. That is not to say that they areirresponsible (well not always) but to find somewhere to live inHertfordshire is so costly and we don't have any family to rely on. They also have a father that they haven't seen in years and wouldn'tknow where to start looking for him or even want to.
I am really glad that Australia has these rules and regulations foremigration and don't just take in anyone but regards immediate family,i.e. children, I find it hard to believe that we would have to leavethem behind. I would totally understand it if it were Aunts, Uncles,Cousins and anyone else you could possibly think of but not our ownkids no matter what age.
We would not be a drain on the state, being totally self-sufficient andhard working and we would definitely support them the same as we do overhere.
We all desperately want to emigrate and are at present collating allinfo for the trade buttessment, which has so far taken weeks, and I amresearching this subject on a daily basis to see how we can take themwith us. Both of them are now getting more qualifications in adifferent line of work to try and match skills that are needed but thenthey will have to apply separately and the cost of this will fall on us.Alternatively, they will come over on 2 year WHV and do some fruitpicking or the like and take it from there.
What I would like to know, is if we get permanent residency, can wesponsor them sometime later?
This is really getting me down as I could not possibly leave thembehind as we are all they have here. Sorry I have waffled on so muchbut it really is top of my thoughts.
