Dr Goodall in Southampton is slightly dearer than Dr Mallam but equally good. Plus Dr Goodall is Australian, which had a strangely calming effect on my nerves.....! (Completely illogical, but there it is!)
Damage after shipping stuff to OzYou got off lucky. I have a hand made reproduction Chippendale chair that had the arms ripped off it by Bekins Worldwide Movers in...
The way the meds work is this. If the Panel Doctor ticks Box A on the form, then the DIMA staff accept what the PD has said, and you are deemed to have pbutted on the meds. If the PD ticks Box B, then the medical stuff is sent to the Medical Officer of the Commonwealth out in Australia, who makes the final decision.
At the very end of Form 26, there is a bit about BP. If it is more than x over y the PD is supposed to send you to a cardiologist, it says. (I can't remember the numbers.) Reading BE, though, all that the cardiologist does is to supply a gadget that measures BP for 24 hours, and he-she takes the average reading over the period, so your BP does NOT sound like medical failure to me! Therefore try not to worry, because that shoves blood pressure UP!
The LCU are contactable by e-mail and promise to respond within 48 hours. Tell the search tool in the DIMA website to find LCU and the relevant page will come up.
Above all, though, do NOT worr y. People with much more dramatic problems than slightly raised BP have been accepted by the MOC in the end. I've had reason to read all the Court and MRT records of the medical cases to within an inch of their lives, and I've never come across one where a mild case of BP only has been the medical issue, so please do NOT worry about this!
