Hello Bobbydazzler (what a great user name!)
To be honest, the panel doctor in the UK is unlikely to know whether or not you will be "pbutted" by the LCU or not.
As mentioned already the panel doctor can tell you if they'll tick A or B but that's about it.
Medicals The final hurdle Sender: Gill Palmer 1591Dear Madhu You are sooo right! I panicked big-style when the panel doctor's receptionist told me that they had "Never heard" of an applicant getting packed off to a geriatrician. I now suspect that...
The panel doctor does not make any decision about whether or not you fit the criteria for immigration.
With respect to "can they give an indication based on past experience?", although they may have done many hundreds of Australian immigration medicals, the panel doctors do not get feedback as to whether or not people are granted their visas or not... so they won't really know how likely you are to be pbutted or failed by the LCU. There are obvioulsy other situations in which the examining doctor makes the decision to "pbutt" or "fail" but DIMIA medicals are definitely not one of these.
So to be honest I think you'll just have to wait and see what happens when the LCU receives all your documents.
Try not to stress too much though (I know that's easier said than done). Do take all your reports etc with you - it makes things move along much quicker.
Best of luck to you.
Madhu (a GP - but not a panel doctor!!)
