Hi Dave -
I'm reasonably convinced now that it *should* count as valid work experience, but it's definitely a bit iffy... I think the end result would come down to how the university describe the time if they were to be asked by the NZIS.
I'm just under 30 and my partner is just over. She's the principal applicant now, with 115 points (without a job offer) - her undergrad degree subject was Psychology. She's actually submitting her PhD in the next couple of weeks, but for a measly five points we didn't think it'd be worth delaying the application until the PhD is (hopefully!) granted.
sarcoidosis Sender: mvt550Carruss - sorry to hear about your experience. I have several observations to make to defend the profession but here is not the time or place!! I hope everything goes well with your...
I was originally going to be the principal applicant, with 135 points (also without a job offer), but I realised I would have trouble providing evidence for some of my work experience for various reasons. Infuriating!
I think it might be hit-and-miss as to whether we'll be able to get in on 115 points or not, but I thought it might be worth a punt before they put up the base-level point score again. If we don't get selected from the pool we'll try to find jobs in NZ in a few months' time and then reapply.
