Good morning Cath,
Accountants NIA buttessment Sender: orangestreetHi, I had a negative result with my NIA application. Most students from the subcontinent have no chance of studying some of the units in their Bachelors degree completed overseas. Tax and company law (which...
I just want to ask a few questions and keep you updated on my EOI developments. I pbutted EOI, got my invitation to apply for residence (ITAR) from NZ immig, and now facing a dilemma. You see, I got married last July but prior to that, my wife and I each filed our own EOI application. She got her ITAR approved and just waiting for her visa to be sent to her. Now we want to go to NZ at the same time, but that won't happen If I file my ITA now (having the deadline this November to do so) and wait for it to be approved. The embbutty officers( one of them interviewed my wife, the other is a referral of another friend) have different suggestions and knowledge on the matter. The first one advised us to file a sponsorship using the family stream, stating should I be issued a work to residence visa(WTR), that will be co-terminus with my wife's WTR visa. The other officer is saying we can't do that, and that we should already be living for 12 months to prove that we are indeed married before we file our family stream. Please advise what is the best approach to this: 1) should I file apply for a visitor's visa to fly with my wife at the same time and wait for 3 months before I can apply for a WTR visa (is this the step?) 2)go for a sponsorship using the family stream, we go for this, what are my chances of getting denied ?
Option 2 is what I am hoping and planning to take, but should I be denied, my own ITAR will expire by the time I am given notice of disapproval.
Thank you Cath and everyone here for helping me.
God Bless.
