I applied under Send - Independent 136 visa category. For the IELTS I only manage to get 5 for the writing module (I got 7.5 for listening, 7 for reading and 7 for speaking)
I request the permission to re-sit the exam. But the case officer allowed to appeal for the IELTS but did not allowed to re-sit. So now I think probably my visa application will be pooled (since I have more than 70 points).
I think now my best chance is to apply for the "Send - State-Territory Nominated Independent" Visa.
Can anyone tell me whether they have been successful in this visa category?
How the whole thing work? I went through the DIMIA web site but it is difficult to understand what they really looking for.
What I understand from the information available, I need to qualify first on the point test.
I have following points:

Now my question is how do I go about applying for the above visa category?
Do I need to get a job offer from a government organisation to qualify for the same?
I am working as a software engineer and it is not listed in "Occupation in demand". So can I still apply for the 137 visa?
