Living in the UK do they always come to check your current employers records ? In a personal visit ?
Just not sure the owner would be happy about that !

We're newbies too. And, this forum is a wealth of info and support it seems. I've 99% decided which agent to use, but am still fishing for info until I fully commit.
They do random checks, but I was led to believe that in most cases it was with former employers to confirm work history so that it substantiates statements-stat decs (I may be wrong). Thankfully, everyone knows my plans so it isn't a problem. But, I'd be interested to know if they do cold call on present employers, just so they'd be aware of the importance of the call if it happens.
