NuB question Sender: Jessica Stooke

Hello,

If you are interested in migrating to Australia you can do so independently or by being sponsored by a company. Generally, it is better to go independently if you can as you will not be tied to a single employer.

Which Visa Teacher none or little work exp Sender: JAJ
The 134 and 137 visas are near-identical except 134 requires less work experience, so look at that one instead of 137. In answer to your questions: 1. 6 months work experience...

Your eligibility in either category will depend on your qualifications, work experience, age, English language ability as well as a variety of other factors.

Your spouse can be included on your application if you are married or if you have been living together for 12 months or more.

Thats great news for you, makes me regret not putting my Oz citizen daughter as authorised agent to deal with POPC directly on my app, I have read another thread that says this helps...

Your parents can only be included on your application if they have been wholly dependent on you for a period of time. If this is not the case you may be able to sponsor them after you have been living in Australia for 2 years, however this is dependent on meeting "the balance of family test" (basically, the majority of their children must live in Australia for them to apply for a parent visa).

Yes, I agree with your comment about the waiting time, it was only a couple of months back that people were told 9-12 months for this visa so I was keenly watching...

You will be looking at paying approximately $AUD 2,000 in fees to the Australian government as well as incidental fees for health and character clearances, documents certification, etc... If you choose to use the services of a registered migration agent they will also charge fees - average fees can be found on www.themara.com.au.

You could start by looking at the Department of Immigration & Multicultural Affairs website -- www.immi.gov.au. Alternatively, many registered migration agents (including myself) are happy to provide an initial buttessment of your eligibility over email or over the phone.

Best of luck!
