QUOTE=George LombardHi Everyone,
As a veteran of many online lodgments all I can suggest is that some don't go through because the numbers are wrong, some don't go through because there's a flag on the sponsor or visa applicant, and some just don't go through. 90% are ok - those that aren't, you have to go to the business centre for advice pronto. And yes, you can't afford to close screens or leave a screen dormant for fear of losing all your work - it's worthwhile remembering that all that a 457 online lodgement consists of is a structured approach to a form 1066, so get one of those from www.immi.gov.au and fill it in so that you can use it as a guide on the screens.
Online lodgment is also now available for SIR and onshore graduates - we've been warned that employer sponsored migration is going over to online lodgment and I guess it will be universal within five years.
Cheers,
George Lombard
Hi George
Thanks for your advice. I've looked at the 1066, which asks for a nomination request permission id, in question 17. This is the number I have been given by the business centre.
The online application asks for one of the following; nomination approval number, transaction reference number or a saved application id
I have tried entering my permission id in all 3 fields but to no avail. The business centre have confirmed the number to be okay. I would have thought they would have raised any flags on sponsor or applicant, so I can only buttume I'm one of the minority for whom the online app. just won't work.
best wishes will
