Hi JAJ, thank you for replying.

138 Visa AOS Sender: CathnPaul
this is a reply i received off another forum when looking for a 2nd butturer Two recommendations: 1. While some take it as an insult that suddenly...

1. Great - I would much prefer New Zealand to complete visa - a much nicer flight than the UK.

2. Yes, I am waiting for the police check to come back to me any day now, plus I've had the medical. I hope to have the actual application in during next week some time.

3. We have plenty of evidence to show our long term relationship - three children being part of that!

4. Thanks for that info. Applying here is much more sensible.

5. My husband has thought of british citizenship, and applied last year but they turned him down due to a traffic offence!!! (A fairly minor mistake on his part but serious enough to stop it) They told him he could apply again in a year, so he may well do that again before we leave the country.

So, after I lodge my application here in the UK, the authorities won't mind if I'm in Australia for a short time, as long as I'm clear what I'm doing there and that I intend to leave?

Thanks for the info. That's really put my mind at rest.

A fine is normally "spent" after five years, but for naturalisation purposes will usually be disregarded after 2 years if there are no other offences. Details are in form-guide...
