HI,

Yes, we are new 139 applicants and would love to see how others are getting on and share tips and experiences.

I am just finishing gathering the documents for TRA. I notice one of your responders mentioned that they have reduced their buttessment times. I am relieved to hear that as I only found out today about the elimination of the 139 in July.

I am hoping that we can get the application in before that but things always seem to take longer than anticipated (as did getting employers to give me what I need for TRA).

I am not using an agent so any info on pit falls and-or bear traps would be greatly appreciated.

We are a family of four and I have four sisters, a father and step mother in Queensland. Two sisters live in designated areas. Two sisters and step mother are Australian by birth. Initially we were fifty pound poms but my parents divorced and my mother brought myself and my three sisters back to England. My father remarried and my youngest sister was borne Australian but here in England thus giving her dual nationality. I am the only one still stuck here and I just can't wait to go "home".

Contact with others pinning their hopes on a 139 visa would be great. I don't think anyone could understand the ups and downs you feel unless they are going through it too.
