Hi all. This is a tricky question and one I really hope someone can give me advice on. I have owned and managed my own day care centre for two years now (closed down last month). I had my skills buttessed by Vetbuttess (Child Care Coordinator) and that came back positive. We applied for SIR to WA and were accepted. Now we have to apply to DIMIA, and this is where the problem comes in. The day care centre I owned was very small, only about 10 - 15 children, not all of them full time. Therefore legally I did not register the centre. The money that came in was not put into my bank account, because it was used as it came in (cash). Two parents paid by internet banking into my husbands account, not mine. I never paid tax, not having made enough money, and I never had accounting books. I therefore have no proof of Work Experience. I can get all of the parents to write letters testifying that I looked after their kids for 2 years. I can get the people I rented the hall from to write that I rented it from them for the day care centre. I can get the people I rented jungle gym equipment from to write a letter that I rented it for my day care. I can get the two employees I had working for me to write a letter stating their duties. Is this enough? Or do DIMIA insist on financial proof. If so, what do I do? Any advice or thoughts on this would be greatly appreciated.
