Hi
I just submitted a pmv too, but in Washington, so I can answer a few ofyour questions. Firstly, you don't need to go into the office for form 888, the personjust needs to sign it in front of someone who can sign stat dec's (JOP,med. practioner, teacher, etc.) there is a whole list of people. Thenthey send or give it to you to put in with your application. In othercountries you will have to see who usually signs the equivalent of astat dec in Australia. My fiance got his signed by a soliciter but inthe same format. The people doing stac dec's don't need to give copiesof their pbuttports. Only the person applying and the sponsor, and theyneed to be certified.
You don't need to send your pbuttport. When they grant your visa theywill ask for it along with a check for an overnight courier service toreturn it (or the equivalent).
I think whether they ask for an AoS really depends on the CO andcircumstances. There is no real cut-off income and buttets test. But Iguess they wouldn't ask for one if your sponsor had a good income, withbuttets, the applicant has good job prospects or a job lined up for sometime in the future.
Make sure you write a statement specifically how the sponsor willfufill their obligations financially, including evidence of income, job, accomodation for the person when they arrive, help findingemployment etc. Otherwise they will ask for it later.
Also put heaps of support to show you are in a real relationship-bills, rent, shared invitaions, travel together, letters, emails, photos, and not just photos of you 2 but with your family, his familyand friends as well.
I think you'll be fine. From what i've seen UK visas go through reallyfast
Hope that helped a bit Kim
