I work in procurement (IT) for one of the big 4 banks here in the UK.
Moving to Aus (which we intend to do once the house is sold) ispredominantly a big lifestyle change for us although getting a decentjob is still pretty high on my list of nice to have's.
Even though the inlaws and brother in law live in Sydney we have optedfor Perth as our final destination.
It kind of goes against the grain as procurement is very often clbuttedas a 'head office' function and there are very few head offices inPerth most (especially larger banks) are based around Sydney, Brisbaneand Melbourne).
The big businesses in Western Aus are mining companies but there isstill a heavy requirement for procurement folks in these businesses.

We went on a rekkie to Perth for a month in February. I spent the timemeeting a few recruiters (as well as enjoing everything Australia) anda few other procurement contacts I had made via work
Australia is pretty old fashioned when it comes to procurement in somerespects, and thankfully for us the UK procurement industry is viewedas being about 5 years ahead in the way we approach supplierdevelopment etc..
The talent pool in Western Australia is also very small which is havinga positive effect on salaries. So positive in fact that some folks arebeing attracted by the cash from the East cost.
I'm unsure about accountancy positions for your missus but if you haveexperience working with decent size contracts you shouldn't struggletoo much in Perth :)
On another note; CIPS isn't really recognised in Aus!
