Hi Van,
I got my de-facto spouse visa a couple of months ago. Frontloading seems to be the done thing with this type of visa. I frontloaded my application. I booked my medical and sent off for my Police Check. Got the police check back after a couple of weeks. Then I got all my forms filled in and the Stat Decs signed & certifed, sorted out all my supporting evidence and sent my application to DIMIA in London. I then asked the doctor who did my medical to send the completed medical forms to DIMIA in London also. (The doctors are not supposed to give you the medical forms back). I did not have a file number to put on the forms and had no problems at all. DIMIA are very good at matching up the application with the medical results. I also included my pbuttport with the application (again this saves time as DIMIA don't have to write to you to request it.) I got my pbuttport back within 2 weeks with the Visa sticker in it !!! I flew out to Brisbane on 17th August and I am now living in Canberra with my fiance Jim and loving it.
If you need any help with your visa application give me a shout.
Good Luck.
Wendy
