How many points will you get for age? If you write down here how points are allocated, then it is easier to say something about it.
I was OS student as well and I got the PR visa yesterday :) In fact, me and my partner were applying in a joint application and we've done everything correctly, I guess:)
I have browsed the archives of this group before and read a lot comments of JAJ that overseas students don't know how to apply and it is easy to get rejected therefore should use agent's help etc. First, I thought there are bit exaggerated but after asking around a few people (fellow students) about how are they applying, on what basis etc. I realized that some people are really CLULESS about how to apply, what steps they're going to take etc. I am not surprised there are lots rejections. It is funny, because all the information is available at DIMIA webpage, let alone this newsgroup and some other sources, so one just has to put some effort into it...
Well, enough. So my opinion is: if your application is straightforward (it seems like that to me), you don't have any issues (medical problem, some criminal things etc.) then do it yourself. Otherwise, take your application to a GOOD migration agent just to have a browse through it before you hand it in.
