Hello all, We have recently used ANGLOPACIFIC based in Manchester to move from the UK to Canada. We did plenty of research before we chose them, and should have done more. They are hopelessly unprofessional and pathetically incompetent!! And I am being nice.
Let's begin, first af all, they charged an extra £75 for a Saturday pickup, which was supposed to begin at 7 am. They finally showed up at 10 am without an apology and the best part is, the guys that showed up actually worked for another company and were subcontracted by Anglopacific. The workers ran out of our name labels halfway through packing our shipment into their van. They finally got everything packed so I decided to ask them for an approximate volume estimate which they obliged.
That was the smoothest part of the removal. I'll shorten the actual proceedings. Anglopacific promptly lost our belongings for 2 weeks. Then they calculated the volume at about 30% higher than both what I had calculated and what the guys packing the truck had estimated. Before all of this occured, Anglopacific was nice enough to take two deposits from our credit card, although they were authorized for only one. Plus, the initial estimate given to us erroneously included Anglopacific packing our goods, even though they were implicity informed we would do our own packing. The estimate did not change in price even though we packed!!
The entire shipment was meant to take 8 weeks on the outside and we should have had the entire shipment by the middle of September. After a complete and utter ridiculous (and tragic) set of events, it is now Novemnber 22 (closing in on 18 weeks) and we are still waiting for the rest of our shipment. The items we have received had more broken and busted pieces than we could have imagined they really must have dropped the boxes from a great height, as the types of breakage was definitely compression related).
Would we recommend Anglopacific - NO!! They were not the lowest priced quote we received either. Do not use Anglopacific for your removal if you want your items in a timely and complete manner. Do not use Anglopacific for your removal unless you want to pay for professionals to mangles both your goods and your bank account!!!
