I had a terrible time trying to convince DHL that our medicals could NOT be opened for inspection before sending. They refused to allow us to send un-inspected documents and subsequently told us that if we were Reading depot. However, we were then told that "cash customers" are not allowed to use this service and for what reason, hell knows??
I was very happy with DHL up until this point but I think that they are, in reality, a bunch of irrational and inflexible jerks and to add insult to injury they have taken å£107 of our money which was supposed to be refunded and hasn't been to date.
I spoke with our panel-doctors at length upon realising that ISF was our only option. They said that they send on average 100 medicals via ISF to Australia each month and that in all the time that they have been using ISF only one parcel has gone missing (and after it got to Australia apparently).
I feel fairly confident that ISF works for the most part after hearing this. However, I feel that the service name is misleading and inappropriate as the delivery cannot be verified by a signature and we are left none the wiser as to whether or not it got to it's destination.
