Looking for a bit of advice.
I was granted my 2 year temporary visa in July 2005, and my wife and since then my wife and I have been renting a room from a friend whilst we are trying to save up to buy a place.
When we moved in to our friend's place last year we did get a lease drawn up so we do have proof that we have been living together, however we have very little else apart from the lease in terms of evidence for when we represent in July 2007 (mainly because we never changed our addresses with banks etc meaning that everything has still been delivered to our old address and we havent picked any of it up).
I am starting to get on track now and we have changed our addresses with the bank, phone company, electricity etc, however will DIMIA want more evidence for the last 12 months? Or will they just accept the evidence we provide over the next 12 months?
Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Would rather tackle this now than get stuck in a sticky situation down the track....
