We have the option of going for Send Independent (136) or Send Australian sponsored (138) but have been advised by our agent to go for the sponsored visa due to it allowing us the right of appeal through the MRT if, in the unlikely event, we're refused due to a potential medical issue

Our agent puts our chances of being successful using the 136 route in the high 90% bracket but has advised that the 138 route is the 'best' one for us.

Although we have sponsor and butturer lined up, we have yet to come to the point where we have to decide which route to take (we are still waiting for our skills buttessment decision to come through), my personal feeling at he current time is that if we were to go down the 138 route and get refused, I'm not sure whether I could afford the the time, cost and emotional expense of waiting for a year for the MRT to review and hopefully change their decision. My gut feeling is to go for the 136 and accept that what will be will be
